The political news site PôleAfrique.info, part of the Ivorian media landscape, is merging with 7info, one of the new digital terrestrial television channels in Côte d'Ivoire, to become 7info.ci as of Tuesday, May 21.
This announcement heralds the arrival of the new television channel, 7info, which will launch in the last quarter of this year.
In 2016, Philippe Di Nacera, former Director of France 24's French-language channel, created PoleAfrique.info (formerly PolitikAfrique.info), an "independent and non-partisan" online media outlet dedicated to Ivorians and news about Africa in general.

He then teamed up with Jean-Philippe Kaboré, CEO of Optimum Media Côte d'Ivoire, to launch the project to create a new DTT news channel, 7info.
This new announcement by the online media outlet heralds the imminent arrival of the 7info channel.

The editorial line will remain unchanged. Philippe Di Nacera says: "With 7info.ci, everything that exists on PôleAfrique.info will remain, but we will go even further: further in terms of proximity to Ivorians, further in terms of video and live coverage, further in terms of service information, support for the country's development, good governance practices, entrepreneurship, collective economic effort, and business, and further in terms of fact-checking (with the intensification of the Fact Checking section (…)".
