Season 2 of MTV Shuga Babi, coming soon to RTI

Despite the difficult circumstances caused by the health crisis, the filming schedule for season 2 of MTV Shuga Babi was completed on time. The MTV Staying Alive Foundation, with support from Unitaid, was able to continue filming in compliance with health measures.

The episodes of the new season will be broadcast from January 30 on RTI2 and from February on YouTube. This second season, produced by BOUCAN and MPM Film, will address topics such as HIV awareness, the use of HIV self-testing, STIs, contraception, first sexual intercourse, peer pressure, transactional sex, and gender-based violence.

As for the cast, viewers will be able to see actors from the first season and discover new faces, including Steven BAYÉ, Siata TRAORE, Abraham THIAM, Olivia AKPELE, and Marie-Victoire AMIÉ, as well as personalities such as Prissy La Dégameuse, actor Landry GNAMBA, Suspect 95, Josey, and Zota.

MTV Shuga Babi is the first version of the MTV Shuga series to be adapted for French-speaking audiences in Côte d'Ivoire. This first adaptation of the popular TV series, originally filmed in Nairobi and Lagos, recounts the lives of young people living in Africa. Beyond the storylines, MTV Shuga aims to raise awareness among African youth on issues such as drugs and sexuality.
