JFD Africa: a digital edition organized on July 2

After the first edition of Digital Women's Day held on the African continent in Dakar, the event dedicated to women who are revolutionizing the world through digital technology will once again expand its influence on July 2.

Organized on social media, JFD Africa will once again put African women in the spotlight in an edition sponsored by Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary General of La Francophonie.

With "Beyond" as its central theme, this new edition will focus on four major topics:

  • Inclusive collaboration
  • Women and Science: Education, the primary lever for development.
  • Women and Tech: The keys to sustainable and equitable economic growth.
  • The Rwandan tech ecosystem

According to Delphine Remy-Boutang, co-founder of JFD: "The digital revolution is sweeping across the continent. I think that today, we need to change the narrative about Africa. We want to highlight the fact that, in addition to being the continent that champions female entrepreneurship, Africa has many women entrepreneurs who are actively participating in the growth of their countries. We must represent them and draw inspiration from them."

JFD Africa will take place on July 2 at 6 p.m. (GMT), broadcast simultaneously on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and joinjfd.fr.
