IPTV in the fourth quarter of 2022 in Côte d'Ivoire: TV advertising market down 18.9%

The TV advertising market, which is monitored monthly by the Omedia institute in Côte d'Ivoire, confirms the downward trend that began in the middle of the first half of 2022:

The first half of the year saw slight growth (+1.4%) but the slight decline in the third quarter (-5%) was followed by a sharp decline in the fourth quarter of 2022 (-18.9%), despite the broadcast of the World Cup at the end of the year, which enabled IPTV to grow by +63.7% in the fourth quarter of 2022 in Senegal.

However, as in Senegal, a large number of Ivorian advertisers rode the wave generated by the World Cup: the NCI channel, the exclusive broadcaster of this competition in Côte d'Ivoire, grew by +62% in November and +46% in December (excluding sponsorship), confirming the importance of these high-profile events and the spectacular decline of the Ivorian TV advertising market as a whole.
