Can you describe your activities?
Talenteum is the first Social Bridging web platform. It offers professional opportunities to African talents who are ready to work remotely with companies around the world. Our partner companies are looking for long-term skills that are difficult to find in their home countries.
Talenteum brings people together wherever they are, regardless of their color, religion, or status. Talenteum enables people to work together, beyond any ideological, geographical, or religious divides. Thanks to Talenteum, people can put their skills at the service of others. Without having to travel, they can work remotely for companies located anywhere in the world.

What is your business model?
Talenteum invoices the employee's salary at cost, plus expenses, open-space or office space, plus our fee of €190 for use of the platform and wage portage. We are a trusted third party for our clients and our talent.

In which countries are you established?
We carried out our POC (proof of concept) in Mauritius, so we have the most employees in that country, but we are also present in Madagascar, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Benin, and Cameroon.

What motivated the launch of Talenteum Africa?
It started quite simply with a client who wanted to recruit teams in Mauritius at cost price without having to manage the recruitment and administration of his team. Then, little by little, we added value to the offer by providing technological tools for remote working. The Talenteum offering took shape and we experienced significant growth. This is only the beginning, as we have big ambitions to become the leader in our market.

In terms of numbers, what does Talenteum Africa represent? How many partner companies? How many talents?
We have provided more than 100 full-time jobs for African talents since our launch, representing about 20 active clients. Our clients range from large corporations to small SMEs.

Overall, which sectors do most of the companies that come to you come from?
We operate in six sectors: web and IT, sales and marketing, accounting, and finance.

Do you also provide training?
We partner with several short-term training solutions to provide employability solutions for our African talent. These solutions are either online or local in the country with traditional face-to-face training.
Our model is based on affiliation, so we bring clients to training centers.

What are the main challenges you face on the African continent?
Our challenges in Africa are primarily to find talent that already has the expertise we are looking for, or at least a sufficient foundation to undergo short-term training to meet our clients' requirements.
The market is there, but you have to take your time to find talent and identify the rare gems. That's our job.

What are the ambitions of such a project? What are the prospects for development?
We are currently in the fundraising phase. We want to grow and invest more in our technical platform, which will enable us to source talent in Africa more quickly and put in place the tools to facilitate remote working between our clients and candidates.
We are in the era of the "FutureOfWork" and we want to play a significant role in this niche.
