LAFAAAC and OIF support co-production on the continent

To support the film industry on the African continent, LAFAAAC (the Franco-Anglophone Academy of Audiovisual Arts and Cinema) and the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) are joining forces to train professionals in the field.

The partnership between the two entities will enable the development of a six-hour training course on co-production, available free of charge on the LAFAAAC mobile app, thereby contributing to the professionalization of the sector in ACP (African, Caribbean, and Pacific) countries.

Created in 2017, LAFAAAC is a young startup specializing in training for digital creation professions (audiovisual, radio, cinema, web) with Africa as its main market. "

In terms of offerings, the few audiovisual and media schools and training centers in sub-Saharan Africa are overwhelmed by demographics, the evolution of professions and techniques, and remain very expensive. However, the emergence of new online training and support methods is helping to address some of these challenges,"

said Olivier Pascal, CEO of LAFAAAC, in an interview with Adweknow.
