The start of 2022 is proving to be very prolific for Alex Ogou and his production company Plan A. The producer and director has unveiled details of a new series project called "Obatanga" on social media.
Well known for directing the hit series Invisibles and Cacao, Alex Ogou continues to stand out with fiction projects such as the new series De plus en plus loin, which he produced with CANAL+ International, and the latest EKI, which will air starting April 25.
This new original CANAL+ production is a crime series about high-level crime in Gabonese society, a thriller set in a procedural universe where extraordinary events turn the lives of the protagonists upside down.
Since the creation of his production company "Plan A" in December 2020 in Abidjan, projects have been coming thick and fast for Alex Ogou, perfectly illustrating the dynamism of the audiovisual production sector. As we highlighted in our report, the sector in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa continues to grow, driven in particular by a new generation of talent and increasingly significant investments. There is real dynamism in fiction production, which is reflected in a proliferation of increasingly ambitious projects.
