YARHA Festival: International First Film Week from January 19 to 26 in Cameroon

The 11th edition of International First Film Week will take place next January in Yaoundé.

Created in 2013 by the YARA association, the international week is a professional platform where directors, actors, producers, and filmmakers from around the world present their first works (first and second feature films) to the Cameroonian public. Since then, the YARHA festival has welcomed celebrities such as Aïssa Maïga, Marie Philomène Nga, Rahmatou Keïta, among others.

The Yarha Festival is a week of intense activities related to cinema, culture, and development. Visitors can attend film screenings, training workshops, conferences, roundtable discussions, and even art exhibitions. As part of its program, each year the YARHA festival selects debut feature-length fiction films for its official competition and, for its non-competitive category, feature-length and short films such as documentaries and focus films, among other genres.
