In Togo, the national television channel, TVT, has unveiled a new visual identity. Revealed on Monday, June 26, 2023, by Professor Akodah Ayewouadan, Minister of Communication and Media, the new visual identity is the result of a competition launched by the channel, with a prize fund of 2 million CFA francs for the winner.
This announcement coincides with the presentation of the new set for Télévision Togolaise (TVT)'s evening news program, in line with the process of modernizing public media and the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of national television.
"Proudly displaying the national colors, this logo expresses our patriotic pride. The intertwining of the second letter T within the logo symbolizes fraternity and national unity, resting on a green base in homage to our ancestral land and the preservation of our environment. Thanks to the clear and legible inscription 'télévision togolaise' (Togolese television), this logo will allow instant recognition of TVT on all media, making it easy for everyone to identify," says the Ministry of Communication.
