The series "Sakho and Mangane" will be broadcast on Netflix.

The original series Sakho et Mangane, produced by CANAL+, will be available on Netflix starting December 27.

Filmed entirely in Dakar, this first 100% African crime series stars two international actors, Issaka Sawadogo and Yann Gael, who play a pair of police officers tasked with investigating a series of crimes in the city of Dakar.

Designed as a series of eight 52-minute episodes, it was written by Samantha Biffot

and produced by Canal+ International and Keewu Productions. Sakho et Mangane is the result of 87 days of filming and the combined talents of three directors from three African countries: Jean-Luc Heberlot, Hubert Ndao, and Toumani Sangare.

The series had already "traveled" to Europe in English, as it had been broadcast since last September on "All 4," the platform of the British channel Channel 4.

It is scheduled to air on December 27 on Netflix. In the meantime, here is the synopsis:

"In Dakar, as everywhere else in Africa, the invisible world coexists with our everyday world. But in Dakar, a well-kept secret lies within the walls of a police station that investigates cases unlike any other. This secret bears a badge: 'Commander Sakho'. Forced to work in tandem with Mangane, a young hothead who acts before he thinks, these two cops, who are complete opposites, are under the command of the ambitious Mama Bâ. This special unit, led by a man with considerable powers, fights the dark forces that want to plunge the world into chaos."
