With 4,899,000 subscribers as of December 31, 2019, the CANAL+ group continues to grow, gaining 726,000 subscribers compared to the previous year.
This result brings the CANAL+ group closer to the symbolic milestone of 5,000,000 subscribers, which should be easily surpassed in 2020, thanks in particular to major sporting events (Euro 2020 soccer and the Olympic Games).
Africa now accounts for more than 41% of subscribers outside mainland France and 24.1% of the total number of subscribers to the CANAL+ Group.
It should be noted that CANAL+ acquired the channel distribution company M7 in 2019, enabling the Group to exceed 11.8 million subscribers to its pay-TV offerings internationally.
