This agreement covers the next three seasons and begins as soon as the German championship resumes in mid-September. The agreement also includes the broadcast of the German Super Cup and the end-of-season playoffs.
This acquisition further strengthens CANAL+'s already extensive sports offering in Africa, which will now be able to broadcast the five major European soccer leagues and enrich its editorial content by showcasing the many African players in the German league, which recently distinguished itself by placing two of its teams in the semifinals of the last Champions League, won by Bayern Munich.
It should be noted that the German league was previously broadcast exclusively on StarTimes.
