RFI is a partner of the fourth edition of Dakar Music Expo, an international music fair and festival that has been bringing together artists, professionals, decision-makers, and companies from the music industry in the Senegalese capital for the past three years. The world radio station is offering a series of programs dedicated to the Senegalese scene in "Couleurs Tropicales," two of which are produced in Dakar as part of the festival, as well as coverage of the event in French and African languages in its news programs and on digital platforms.

devotes five programs to Senegalese music, culture, history, and current events in the presence of cultural figures from the country. The programs on February 10 and 13 are recorded in Dakar as part of the festival.

The winners of the RFI Discovery Awards will be honored during the event: Alesh (DRC, 2021 winner) kicks off his African tour* at the Institut français in Dakar on Friday, February 10 at 8:30 p.m., in a concert that also features Black AD (Mali, 2022 winner) as the opening act.
