Pathé BC Afrique, a company created in 2020 by the Pathé group, Franco-Tunisian producer Wassim Beji—founder and director of WY Productions—and Jean-François Camilleri, former president of The Walt Disney Company France, Benelux, Maghreb, and French-speaking Africa, is changing shareholders and name.
Sébastien Onomo, founder and president of Special Touch Studios, acquires a stake in the company through his company SO Medias Invest, and Pathé BC Afrique becomes Pathé Touch Afrique.
Pathé Touch Afrique will be jointly managed by the Pathé group and Sébastien Onomo.
With the arrival of Sébastien Onomo, Pathé Touch Africa, which until now has been a film distribution company in Africa, is branching out into production in order to strengthen its presence on the continent.
Wassim Beji and Jean-François Camilleri, founders of Pathé BC Afrique, and Benjamin Reyntjes, managing director, announce that they are leaving the company to pursue other activities.
