Last December, the global leader in streaming and VOD officially announced its launch into African series production. Queen Sono is the title of this new Made in Africa series, the first original African series produced and broadcast by Netflix.
Starring South African actress Pearl Thusi, known for her role in Quantico, the series tells the story of a secret agent who fights crime in South Africa while dealing with crises in her personal life.
Queen Sono will be available in February 2020 on the platform in all African countries where Netflix is available.
