NCI has just made official what we announced last July.
In a press release, the channel announced that it will be the official broadcaster of the upcoming World Cup, which will take place in Qatar from November 20 to December 18.
As such, it will be available on all its broadcast channels: TNT on channel 4, Startimes HD on channel 779, and even the CANAL+ satellite, which will exceptionally broadcast NCI in HD. Similarly, the broadcast will be in HD on its digital platforms geo-blocked to the Ivory Coast (www.nci.ci, MyNCI app, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
NCI will broadcast live in HD the 28 best matches of the competition, in particular all the matches involving sub-Saharan African teams: Senegal, the African Cup of Nations holders, Cameroon, and Ghana, as well as the round of 16, the quarterfinals, the third-place playoff, the final, and of course the opening and closing ceremonies.
The match schedule has already been announced, and the adventure will begin on NCI on November 20 with the opening ceremony.
To cover the event, NCI is putting together an exceptional program:
- the program "NCISPORTLIVE-QATAR2022" will be broadcast live with the biggest stars of Ivorian soccer, featuring pre-match sets and reports, live commentary on the match by a team of experts, and post-match analysis.
- NCI will also broadcast "LE JOURNAL DE LA COUPE DU MONDE 2022" (The 2022 World Cup Journal), a program scheduled every match day at 10:00 p.m. with goals and highlights from all the matches in the competition (64 matches in total).
In addition, NCI will rely on correspondents on the ground in Qatar, in the qualified sub-Saharan African countries (Senegal, Cameroon, Ghana), and of course throughout Côte d'Ivoire. All programs on the NCI News channel, La télé d'ici, Showbuzz, etc. will be in tune with the event, showing the best moments of the competition and reporting on the atmosphere generated by this global event.
