Financial resources remain a real obstacle to the development of the African film industry, yet it is clear that more and more high-quality works are being created on the continent.
This observation is shared by screenwriter and director Françoise Ellong. She recently made a name for herself with the production of the first daily soap opera, "Le futur est à nous" (The Future Belongs to Us), produced by CANAL+ Original for French-speaking Africa. In addition to her work as a director, she also edits the blog "Le Film Camerounais" (Cameroonian Film) and organizes the annual "Le Film Camerounais Awards" (LFC Awards).
This year, the event, held on November 24, aimed to evolve into a true label that would contribute to the development and structuring of the local film ecosystem.
This has now been achieved with the LFC Fund! According to Françoise Ellong, this new project "aims to support strong, innovative, and solid film projects, currently extending to Central Africa."
The LFC Fund is one of many initiatives launched to support the structuring of a viable, sustainable ecosystem that creates jobs.
