One year after opening its first SUPECO store in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, the CFO Retail group inaugurated its second store on February 4.
Located in Yopougon in the Niangon district, the new store, called "SUPECO Terminus 47," covers an area of 750 square meters and offers nearly 3,000 food items and everyday products.
The CFAO Retail group, a major player in African distribution, announced its development project in French-speaking Africa under the Supeco brand in January 2019. Following on from the PlaYce shopping centers and Carrefour and Carrefour Market hypermarkets, CFAO Retail has thus marked a new stage in the rollout of its activities with this new brand, launched in response to the needs of new consumption patterns in emerging economies, driven by a growing middle class.
It should be noted that Dakar already has three SUPECO stores in Senegal, and Cameroon is set to welcome the new brand in the near future. Several dozen Supeco stores will then open in the main urban centers of the three countries, offering local populations a range of products at reduced prices.
