The summer provided NCI with an opportunity to place news, entertainment, and fiction even more at the heart of the channel's editorial project, drawing on its expertise in quality production, its in-house teams, and its partner producers.
Historic meeting
The historic meeting between President Ouattara and Laurent Gbagbo on July 27 was an opportunity for the channel to score points in terms of news coverage: as the only national channel to cover the event live, it broadcast Laurent Gbagbo's arrival at the presidential palace and the two figures' statements to the press as part of a special program presented by Ali Diarrassouba. The channel, which has 1,374,000 subscribers on Facebook (compared to 539,000 for Life TV and 1,010,000 for RTI Info), has thus made a big splash in what has become one of its main editorial focuses and is increasingly positioning itself as an alternative to RTI in terms of news coverage.

Laughter, humor, and unbridled games
Entertainment also played a major role on the channel during the summer: under the leadership of program directors Cheick Yvhane and Joel-Badi Amos, the daily program "La Télé d'ici vacances" presented by Yves de Mbella, alongside Khadi Touré, Gliss, and the unmissable Yvidero, has been a huge hit with viewers, judging by the number of followers the program has on social media.
There was even more humor, entertainment, and buzz with the new program broadcast every day at 11:50 a.m.: Showbuzz with Dj Mulukuku, Carina Style, and Ozone, and the program "Ici, on s'enjaille" presented by Lincey with a host of hilarious guests.
Ivorian series: noteworthy initiatives
The channel is also continuing its policy of producing Ivorian series. Since its launch in December 2019, NCI has invested heavily in the production and co-production of Ivorian series. Woglou & Dapè, Madame Tonkpi et Compagnie and Chez les Koffis have all been broadcast.
Since July 5, NCI has launched a daily slot called "Babi est doux" from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, dedicated to the shortcoms Mamie GganGban with Adrienne Koutouan, Mme Tonkpi & Compagnie with Yvidéro, Ya pas pire voisin with Kané Mahoula, and Sa C koi sa enkor with Wilfried Nanga.
Finally, since early July, NCI has been broadcasting "Derrière l'eau," a new police series starring Gohou, Landry Gnamba, and Dosso Tiecoumba, which airs on Tuesday evenings at 8:30 p.m.
Other productions are in the works, including a 100% Ivorian premium series that will air at the end of this year.
