On November 18, the International Federation of Association Football officially launched a call for tenders for the media rights to all second and third round qualifying matches in the African zone for the next World Cup.
These competitions will determine which teams will represent the continent at the next FIFA World Cup in 2022, to be held in Qatar.
This call for tenders follows an agreement signed between FIFA and the 54 members of the Confederation of African Football in August. The media rights at stake will cover television, internet, and radio broadcasts offered by FIFA as part of a centralized sales model.
The deadline for the tender is Monday, December 16, 2019.
