The 9th edition of the Dakar Court International Short Film Festival, Africa's leading festival dedicated to short fiction films, will be held from December 8 to 12, 2026, in Dakar.
The call for entries opened on January 31 and will close on July 24 at midnight.
The call for entries is open to African filmmakers and those from the diaspora. The official competition is exclusively dedicated to short fiction films.
French subtitles are mandatory if the original language of the film is not French.
It should be noted that the Dakar Short Film Festival is co-organized by the CINEMAREKK association and the French Institute of Senegal in Dakar, with the support of the Senegalese Ministry of Sports, Youth, and Culture, the Senegalese Film Commission, and the expertise of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.

- a short biography of the director,
- An official photo of the director
- A copy of the director's ID card or passport
