The CAF has just launched a new call for tenders for the allocation of broadcasting rights for several sporting competitions to be held in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Broadcasters have until May 25, 2023, to express their interest to CAF. The call for tenders concerns the broadcasting rights for 10 competitions, including the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Côte d'Ivoire 2023, the TotalEnergies Women's Africa Cup of Nations 2024 and the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship 2024.
In an official statement released on May 5, CAF Secretary General Veron Mosengo-Omba said: "CAF knows the importance of selecting the right partner to help us achieve our goals. Television plays a very important role in CAF's strategic objectives, and the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire will give us the opportunity, together with our new partners, to deliver what we all believe will be the best AFCON ever organized."
The 34th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations will be held from January 13 to February 11, 2024. Côte d'Ivoire will host the major sporting competition for the second time in its history, following the 1984 edition, which was won by Cameroon.
