At the summit of heads of state held in Kigali on May 14, 2019, Tunisia was chosen to host Afric'Up, an event dedicated to African innovation and technology.
Scheduled for September 24 and 25, Afric'Up will highlight innovation, entrepreneurship, and the promotion of African youth talent. The event is part of the agenda and strategy of the Smart Africa Alliance, whose mission is to support the emergence of future African champions by promoting skills, creativity, and success stories.
More than 150 speakers will lead conferences and workshops on the theme "Smart Cities & Open Innovation in Africa: What Opportunities for Startups?" African ministers, donors, investors, multinationals, incubators, experts, and startups will come together to open up stakeholders to open innovation and new technologies, and to create synergies in areas such as energy, transportation, the environment, agriculture, and health for the continent's future Smart Cities.
