+38% in Ivory Coast for TV advertising investments

According to the May 2020 results published by OMEDIA concerning TV advertising in Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, and Senegal, advertising investments increased by 37.7% on television in Côte d'Ivoire in May 2020 compared to May 2019, after increasing by more than 30% in April.

This can be explained by the rise of two new DTT channels, A+ Ivoire and NCI, which are boosting the market.

In Senegal, advertising investment fell by 8.8% in May after significant growth in April. Overall, in March, April, and May, advertising spending in Senegal remained stable year-on-year despite the health crisis.

Senegal remains the country where advertisers are most present on TV, spending nearly twice as much as those in Côte d'Ivoire, even though Côte d'Ivoire's GDP is almost twice as high.

Telecom and food brands occupy a large part of the TOP 10.
