On the African continent, where the digital revolution is underway, the Internet continues to expand, promoting growing consumption of mobile and digital news. However, finding high-quality images of Africa can sometimes be challenging for online content publishers.
Against this backdrop, Afrikimages, the first pan-African image agency, was launched on February 1 in Gabon.
"Africa is the fastest-growing region in the world, and AFRIKIMAGES wants to show how diverse and dynamic this continent is through a wide range of photo reports," explains Afrikimages Agency founder Désirey Minkoh.
Through an online platform with a payment system, Afrikimages aims to showcase images of the continent, from the local to the pan-African level, through photo reports on local political life, society, leisure, business, and sports, as well as general, professional, and political news.
"We have extensive coverage across Central and West Africa to report on all the latest news, ranging from science and technology to arts and culture, politics, and business," he explained.
