After launching the emedia.sn news platform and Senegalese radio station I Radio in October 2018, the Emedia Invest group has announced the launch of its television channel, i-TV.
Led by Mamoudou Ibra Kane, Alassane Samba Diop, Boubacar Diallo, and Mamadou Ndiaye (former members of Groupe Futurs Médias), Emedia Invest has, since its creation, been driven by the ambition to create a multimedia press group that sets the standard in news reporting. The creation of a new television channel completes the group's editorial offering, which consists of a news platform and a radio station.
i-TV is headed by Alassane Samba Diop. In a test phase since February 3, i-TV, available on channel 15 of TNT, broadcast three programs on the Senegalese presidential campaign on February 10.
On the sidelines of the channel's launch, the Emedia Invest group was received by the Director General of the UAR in Dakar, Grégoire Ndjaka. The two parties began discussions on the possibility of the group joining the African Broadcasting Union, which is made up of public and private actors.
