Out with the old bus shelters and anarchic posters in the city, JCDecaux wants to work with urban authorities to build modern advertising street furniture.
On February 5, 2019, Philippe Landrieu, CEO of JCDecaux – Côte d'Ivoire, presented the French company's ambitious project: "The aim is to create street furniture that makes everyday life easier for city dwellers by providing useful services (signage, street lighting, street furniture for information, electronic news displays, self-cleaning public toilets accessible to all, self-service bicycles, mobile device charging stations, etc.). Cocody will benefit from facilities on a par with those in London, Sydney, or Milan."
The contract covers the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of 300 advertising bus shelters and 300 bus stops on the Sotra network.
It also includes advertising on buses, stations, bus terminals, and water buses in the Abidjan district.
