CBS Studios International and Scoope Media have signed a licensing agreement to launch an African version of "The Doctors," an American talk show dedicated to topics related to medicine, health, and wellness, inviting a team of doctors and health professionals to answer questions from viewers.
Scoope Media UK will be responsible for producing the show in Nigeria. The official broadcast of the first episode is scheduled for the last quarter of 2019 on Scoop!, the company's SVOD platform, and will then be followed by an introduction to free-to-air and pay TV channels across the continent. The DStv platform of the Multichoice group, the leader in the pay TV market, and Startimes have already acquired the broadcasting rights.
Each program will be an hour-long show covering health, wellness, and lifestyle topics. Hosted by healthcare professionals, it will be built around real-life stories and interviews with celebrities. This new talk show will be produced and hosted by Adedayo Osholowu.
