100,000 African entrepreneurs from the Sahel region will benefit from a new partnership signed between the Tony Elumelu Foundation and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
Signed on the sidelines of the 12th African Union Summit, this new partnership aims to empower 100,000 entrepreneurs on the continent over a ten-year period through training, mentoring, and financial support.
Tony Elumelu, CEO of United Bank for Africa (UBA), one of the most powerful banks on the African continent, is a Nigerian philanthropist committed to promoting young entrepreneurship in Africa. Through his foundation, Tony Elumelu is multiplying initiatives to support the younger generation and job creation on the continent.
This new program will primarily target young entrepreneurs from disadvantaged backgrounds in the Sahel region. Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, Mauritania, and Chad will be the main beneficiary countries of the program.
