On July 15, 2019, LAFAAAC announced the signing of a partnership agreement with the Virtual University of Senegal to develop training programs for media professionals in Senegal.
Honored by the victory of director Mati Diop, Senegal was the leading country in the African Cinema Pavilion at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival. An official delegation led by Abdoulaye Diop, Senegal's Minister of Culture and Communication, was welcomed.
On this occasion, the delegation expressed its desire to set up structural projects for the development of the film industry and the professionalization of the sector.
In line with this dynamic, the Virtual University of Senegal, the first public virtual university created in 2013, is joining forces with AFAAAC to deliver training tailored to the needs of the film industry using ICT.
The two organizations will thus develop a range of training courses tailored to the needs of media professionals in Senegal and beyond, drawing on digital teaching innovations and the complementary nature of their respective areas of expertise.
