At a conference on "Media Business and Music in Africa
" held at the French Institute in Togo in March 2019, Olivier Laouchez, CEO of the Trace group, announced a new collaboration with the CANAL+ group. The two groups announced the launch of Trace Afrikora, a new channel dedicated to West African music.

Dedicated to the music and cultures of Senegal, Mali, Guinea Conakry, and Gambia, Trace Afrikora offers visibility to leading artists such as Youssou N'Dour, Viviane Chidid, Salif Keita, Oumou Sangaré, and the new Afro-urban generation represented by Sidiki Diabaté, Kandia Kora, Wally Seck, and Safary.
TRACE AFRIKORA is available throughout French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa on CANAL+ CANAL 99 packages. The channel will also be available on the TracePlay streaming service (www.traceplay.tv) from September 23, 2019.
