With Trace Academia, the TRACE Group is launching into training

Active since 2017, the TRACE multimedia group is expanding its initiatives across its various areas of activity, including television, radio, and digital media. Today, the group is preparing to launch into training.

According to the media outlet Stratégies, the group is currently working on a new educational platform, Trace Academia, which is scheduled to officially launch in 2020.

The free platform will bring together 2,000 video courses produced by Trace, covering 250 different professions.

Training the younger generation in different professions is a real challenge for African countries. In some sectors, there is a considerable gap between expectations and the skills available locally. Many private players, particularly those from the audiovisual sector, are choosing to invest in training to support the professionalization of their sector. Training is therefore an opportunity for the entertainment group to seize.

TRACE therefore aims to put its expertise at the service of education by focusing on digital teaching innovations. To overcome the issue of data costs, which are slowing down the development of the internet on the continent, the group intends to allow video content to be downloaded and to find common ground with local telecom operators to enable as many people as possible to access its Trace Academia platform.
