A look back at the latest Media and Development Forum organized by CFI

To mark its 30th anniversary, CFI organized the Media and Development Forum in Paris on December 11 and 12. The event brought together 200 media professionals representing 30 countries.

Social cohesion, youth inclusion, post-conflict reconciliation, support for democratic transitions, climate change… these are key issues of our modern era that must be addressed by the various media, in a context of rapid change, with the acceleration of information dissemination, the development of the internet, and the proliferation of media outlets.

Media outlets from Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Arab world were invited to discuss and take a stand on these key issues.

From West Africa, Burkinabe journalist Inoussa Maiga, founder of the web TV channel Agribusiness, and Tidiani Togola (Mali), a specialist in information and communication technologies, took part in the event.
