Médiamétrie has just published the results of a survey conducted between September 22 and December 2, 2019, among 1,722 people aged 15 and over, representative of the population living in Abidjan and Bouaké.
90.4% of the population surveyed watched television for an average of 4 hours and 25 minutes per day. While the cumulative audience remained stable, viewing time increased significantly (+37 minutes) compared to the first half of 2019.
The share of Ivorian channels (RTI 1, RTI2, A+ Ivoire) rose to 22.4% of the total, compared to just 19.8% in the first half of 2019.

RTI1, Novelas TV, and A+ Ivoire are the top three channels in terms of audience share, with a combined audience share of 33.5%.
Radio audiences remained very stable in terms of both cumulative audience (84.5%) and listening time (3 hours 52 minutes per day).
Al Bayane, RFI, and Nostalgie are the three most listened-to stations. These three radio stations alone account for a combined audience share of 38.6%.
Médiamétrie also surveyed residents of Abidjan and Bouaké about their personal smartphone ownership.
Sixty-six point six percent of individuals aged 15 and over own a smartphone, or two out of three people.
Regarding Internet use, 43% of respondents said they connect to the Internet daily. Social media usage remains high,
with 66.9% of individuals registered on at least one social network; Facebook is still in the lead, followed by Instagram, Google+, and then Twitter. Among those registered on a social network, 42.8% say they log on every day or almost every day.
