DRC: the first trade show dedicated to e-commerce and Fintech

The e-commerce ecosystem has faced numerous obstacles in recent months, raising many questions among players keen to survive in a market that is about to take off. Now is the time to reflect on the sector's potential future.

To kick off this reflection, Bonny Maya, an entrepreneur in the e-commerce sector in the DRC, is launching the first e-commerce and Fintech trade show in Kinshasa, from February 21 to 22, 2020.

For two days, startups, banks, and telecoms will come together to present their projects and discuss the various opportunities in the sector.

The theme of this first edition will be Financial Innovations and Domestic Uses. A series of workshops will be held on Fintech, E-commerce, logistics, and digital marketing.

"I am convinced that the e-commerce market is a promising market despite the various challenges, just as Africa is the market of tomorrow. In the DRC, we have a population of 82 million and an internet penetration rate of 9%. These are promising prospects for the development of e-commerce," said Bonny Maya, founder of the E-mart.cd and Tinda platforms, in an interview with Adweknow.
