Press release: RFI broadcasts the radio drama "C'EST LA VIE!" in Hausa

Starting Saturday, March 7, RFI in Hausa will broadcast "C'est la vie!", the radio drama series that was a huge hit last summer on RFI in French and as a podcast.

The series recounts daily life at a health center that strives to provide the best possible care to the residents of Ratanga, a fictional neighborhood in an African city, where life oscillates between joy, misfortune, work, and family life. Through its plot and colorful characters, this radio drama entertainingly addresses issues such as sexuality, motherhood, violence, and women's right to emancipation.

"C'est la vie!" was originally a television series broadcast on TV5Monde, A+, and West African national channels. The first two seasons have been adapted and recorded for radio. RFI broadcast the French version (with French-speaking actors) from July 1 to August 12, 2019. This project is led by the NGO RAES (Senegal) and rolled out across West Africa with the support of AFD, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the French Muskoka Fund, which brings together four United Nations agencies (UNFPA, UN Women, WHO, UNICEF), and AmplifyChange.
