Youscribe and CANAL+ sign partnership agreement to promote access to education

During this health crisis, Youscribe and CANAL+ have announced a partnership to facilitate access to education on the continent.

Created in 2011, Youscribe is a digital library model that promotes access to more than one million books via mobile devices. Founded by Juan Pirlot de Corbion, Youscribe provides access to reading, culture, and education through the digitization of books.

Thanks to this new partnership, all CANAL+ subscribers on the continent will have free access to Youscribe services until May 31.

It should be noted that Youscribe has become the largest streaming library in France in just a few years. In terms of development strategy, Africa represents a major growth area for the startup, which in 2018 already accounted for nearly 25% of visits to its platform from the continent.

A version of Youscribe specially developed for Africa has also been designed to compensate for the lack of local infrastructure and the high cost of paper formats. It offers more than 50,000 references from African authors and the African press, and is aimed at all readers: children, students, families, and professionals.
