CAF Executive Committee meets to discuss resumption of African football

The CAF Executive Committee is organizing a meeting on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. GMT via videoconference to formulate guidelines for the resumption of African football competitions.

In response to the spread of COVID-19 around the world, the Confederation of African Football announced in March that all sporting competitions scheduled for the coming months would be suspended. The Total CHAN 2020 African Nations Championship and the African Women's Cup of Nations were therefore postponed to a later date.

Following the meeting, CAF President Ahmad Ahmad will hold a virtual press conference to report on the situation and the decisions taken regarding the future of competitions. This will be an opportunity to provide details on the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, which is scheduled to take place from January 9 to February 6 in Cameroon.
