StarTimes launches Dreamworks channel in sub-Saharan Africa

StarTimes has partnered with NBCUniversal to launch the Dreamworks youth channel on its packages in sub-Saharan Africa.

According to the Africascope Kids study conducted by Kantar, in 2019, 91% of 4-14 year olds watched television on a daily basis. Youth television programs are attracting more and more viewers and therefore represent real potential.

According to Lily Meng, head of the Startimes media division, "This launch demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing quality content to African families and comes at a very opportune time when most children and parents are staying at home."
