It was one of the major topics discussed at Adicomdays 2020, the African digital creativity event: the "voice," and more specifically podcasts, which raise questions about their future on the continent and their ability to become more widespread.
As Diane Audrey N'Gako pointed out on this occasion: "Culturally, we are used to consuming radio content, consuming 'oral' content, and we should not forget the potential of this format, especially on social issues." It was based on this reflection that the young entrepreneur decided to launch her own podcast, Si maman m'avait dit
(If Mom Had
Told Me), which was very well received by the African public.
In the same vein, Jessica Brou, Marketing Manager at Optimum Media and former Editor-in-Chief of ELLE.CI, chose to launch her podcast called "Conversation privée" (Private Conversation). Available on the Ausha platform, this new podcast was designed to explore and reveal the success stories of the women and men who are shaping Africa today.
Among the profiles already featured are Moulaye Tabouré, co-founder of the successful e-commerce platform Afrikrea, Joseph Andjou, editorial manager at RTI, and Anaïs Girod, founder of the advertising agency Gramica.
