Pulse Africa expands in Ivory Coast

Nigerian online news publisher Pulse Africa has announced plans to expand into Côte d'Ivoire.

Based in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and Senegal, Pulse claims to have several million regular monthly users of its news platforms, which are deployed on the web and social media to reach young African audiences.

Pulse had already chosen to expand into French-speaking Africa with the opening in 2020 of a new office in Senegal under the Pulse.sn brand. By targeting Côte d'Ivoire today, the media company aims to strengthen its presence in the French-speaking world by offering news and entertainment content, as well as video production, marketing, and creative services through its Pulse TV, Pulse Marketing, and Pulse Studio brands.

According to Caroline Mbodj, Managing Director of Pulse Senegal and Managing Director for the region: "I am more than excited to be working on Pulse's pan-African vision: our growth into Côte d'Ivoire will be an opportunity to breathe new life into the way content and media evolve in French-speaking Africa and beyond."

In view of the upcoming launch of its activities in Côte d'Ivoire, Pulse is looking for a Managing Director to lead its expansion in Côte d'Ivoire.
