Forced to suspend publication of its print edition during the first lockdown, Jeune Afrique chose to strengthen its digital offering.
One year after the start of the Covid-19 health crisis, the media group is unveiling new ambitions and major developments. Shaken by the pandemic, Jeune Afrique intends to accelerate its digital transformation with a faster editorial production rate through three daily editions on jeuneafrique.com. The media outlet claims to have gained 20,000 new subscribers to its online media offering, driven by the ambition to reach the 100,000 mark by 2025.
After 60 years of existence, mainly in the form of a weekly publication, a monthly print edition will be maintained with the publication of a "premium" magazine dedicated to investigation, reporting, and analysis.
In terms of events, Jeune Afrique's activities will also be rolled out digitally. Following on from the Africa CEO Forum, the group will organize the Africa Financial Industry Summit on March 10 and 11, an event dedicated to a sector with a promising future for the African continent.
