On World Africa Day, May 25, 2021, the eleventh Brand Africa 100: Africa's Best Brands ranking will reveal the most admired and useful African brands during the pandemic.
Since 2010, the Brand Africa 100: Africa's Best Brands ranking has analyzed and listed brands and companies in Africa, based on a Geopoll survey conducted in more than 25 countries and data analysis by Kantar and Brand Leadership.
Over the past ten years, on average, only 20% of the brands admired by Africans have been made in Africa. What will happen in 2021? What are the leading brands in Africa, French-speaking Africa, East Africa, West Africa, Southern Africa, and North Africa?
This year, the ranking will be presented in Abidjan by the founder and president of Brand Africa, Thebe Ikalafeng, and the vice president of Brand Africa for French-speaking Africa, Kwame Senou, who is also the CEO of Opinion & Public.
In addition to the publication of the ranking, the launch ceremony will feature round tables and panels to allow the various stakeholders to discuss the reconstruction of African economies in the aftermath of the pandemic and the new opportunities emerging on the continent.
The following topics will be addressed:
- How will African brands and companies react and reposition themselves after the pandemic?
- Which local and African brands have remained relevant to African consumers despite the context?
- Which brands have been most useful during the Covid-19 pandemic?
The event can be followed online, live, on May 25, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. GMT.
