The production company Kalliopé is turning its attention to Africa

Producers Florian Le Prevost and Catherine Zinck Goupil have announced the creation of their audiovisual production company, Kalliopé, driven by their ambition to raise the profile of the African continent on the international stage.

Rich in culture and diversity, with 54 countries, but also and above all with a very young population, this continent has enormous potential, both human and creative. Kalliopé aims to make an impact through its desire and approach to produce differently, surrounding itself with professionals committed to greater diversity in films and series, with a clear focus on Africa and its diaspora.

Training young talent in the audiovisual professions is a real challenge for the continent and a genuine concern for the two founders. They therefore want to incorporate an educational dimension into their project by developing training courses in audiovisual professions and support programs for young talent and students. This is a real challenge today for the structuring of the audiovisual sector, particularly in French-speaking Africa.

Kalliopé is currently involved in a film project in co-production with an Ivorian producer.
