Group Vivendi Africa launches its activities in the DRC

The Democratic Republic of Congo has officially become the seventh country in which Vivendi Africa Group operates.

GVA DRC officially launched its commercial activities on December 10 in Kinshasa in the presence of the Ministers of PTNTIC, Digital Technology, and Scientific Research, as well as the Special Advisor to the President of the Republic in charge of Digital Technology.

The Vivendi Africa Group, a new player in the African telecoms market, is developing its Canalbox Start, Canalbox Premium, and Canalbox Pro offerings for businesses, providing fiber optic access to the entire population.

Canalbox has already been established in Libreville, Gabon, since 2017, and in Lomé, Togo, since 2018, before opening in Pointe-Noire, Republic of Congo, in 2019, and in 2021 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, Kigali, Rwanda, and Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

This project is based on a synergy with the CANAL+ group, enabling GVA to leverage the brand's strength on the continent, a large commercial network of stores and partners already distributing CANAL+ group products, and premium service quality.
