"Coeur d'Ebène," the new Orange Côte d'Ivoire co-production

As Ivorian cinema experiences a real boom in the audiovisual landscape, Orange Côte d'Ivoire is getting involved with "Coeur d'Ebène," an original series directed by screenwriter Fidèle Koffi and broadcast on Orange TV.

This series is the result of a collaboration between Orange Côte d'Ivoire and Patricia Kalou's production company Première ligne, based on an original idea by Stéphane Philippe Kalou.

The series premiered on December 10 in Abidjan, at the Orange Digital Center.

With this new audiovisual project, Orange is once again playing the card of an operator committed to the development of the Ivorian audiovisual ecosystem, with the ambition of offering greater visibility to young local talent.

Ultimately, this series will be broadcast on the operator's digital media content platform, accessible via its app and video-on-demand services.

It should be noted that video on demand is experiencing considerable growth on the African continent. In a study published in August 2021, Digital TV Research estimated that there would be 15.1 million paying subscribers to SVOD services in Africa by 2026. This forecast figure represents a threefold increase on the 5.1 million previously expected by the end of 2021.

"The Ivorian film industry is booming, accompanied by the liberalization of the audiovisual sector and the development of new platforms like ours that need content. Our goal is to support series that reflect who we are, exclusively on Orange TV, and to highlight the work of experts and high-quality technical teams," said Habib Bamba, Director of Digital Transformation and Media.
