Women In Africa and Eramet are joining forces to set up a Hub in Gabon, open to 30 women entrepreneurs rigorously selected by WIA. The first cohort will benefit from a comprehensive acceleration program offering training, mentoring, and access to funding sources.
The Women of the Future Hub, the first of its kind in Libreville, is the embodiment of WIA and Eramet's commitment to creating dynamic and innovative ecosystems in Africa through female entrepreneurship.
The training will cover technical subjects and soft skills such as business plan writing and public speaking. The entrepreneurs will also be trained in entrepreneurial pitching and will receive all the keys they need to access financing. Following this training phase, a selection of winners will be presented to a panel of investors during virtual roadshows and will be supported in their search for financing from banks. The beneficiaries will have the opportunity to be supported by leading experts and will also be put in touch with a dedicated mentor who will assist them in carrying out their projects.
The Hub Femmes d'Avenir will also be a venue for events to highlight and promote Gabonese female entrepreneurship throughout the year.
Through this program, WIA Initiative aims to contribute to the development of a community of local innovators who provide solutions to the many challenges facing Africa, particularly in the areas of innovation and new technologies, fintech, and agricultural transformation, and to make the business models that emerge from these solutions viable and sustainable.
Gabonese women entrepreneurs who share this ambition can apply before May 25, 2022, at midnight (Libreville time) to be part of the very first cohort of the Hub and the Women of the Future program.
