After hosting the third season of the talent show The Voice Afrique in 2021, Côte d'Ivoire is now hosting the first season of The Voice Kids.
The pan-African television channel Voxafrica has officially launched the French-speaking version of The Voice Afrique talent show dedicated to children. The channel's teams, led by Rolande Kammogne, have once again chosen Abidjan to film and produce this first season.
It should be noted that Côte d'Ivoire is the first French-speaking sub-Saharan African country to host the famous talent show. South Africa, where the first two seasons of The Voice Afrique Francophone were produced, was severely impacted by the Covid-19 health crisis. The Voxafrica teams therefore chose Abidjan to produce the 2021 season of The Voice Afrique Francophone.
The children's version of The Voice, reserved for talents aged 8 to 16, has brought together since August 1 around 60 young people from more than 10 French-speaking African countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Central African Republic, DRC, etc.).
The blind auditions, battles, semi-finals, and finals have now been recorded, and the show will be broadcast in September on VoxAfrica TV and RTI 1.
