Allociné launches a version in Ivory Coast

The audiovisual production sector in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa continues to grow, driven by a new generation of talent, marked by the liberalization of the landscape, boosted by the rise of digital platforms, and fueled by increasingly significant investments.

A symbol of renewal, Côte d'Ivoire has now become a spearhead in audiovisual production and the country aims to become a real hub in this field. This observation has not escaped AlloCiné. The platform, published by The Boxoffice Company (Webedia group), has officially announced the launch of a version in Côte d'Ivoire.

For more than 25 years, AlloCiné has been the leading hub for movie and TV series audiences in France, offering internet users content dedicated to movie news, trailers, synopses of current films, and movie theater listings. The platform has the largest database of films and screenings, and more than 14.5 million unique visitors per month (Médiamétrie/NetRatings, Internet Global, January-December 2019 average).

Today, AlloCiné aims to conquer the African market by launching its activities in Côte d'Ivoire. Ivorian internet users will be able to find news, promotion of local culture, new series and new films, and programming in local theaters such as the Majestic cinemas and the Institut Français.
