The Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO), which ended on March 4, honored the following works:

Feature film:

Yennenga Gold Medal: "Ashkal" by Youssef Chebbi (Tunisia)

Silver Medal: " Sira" by Appoline Traoré (Burkina Faso)

Bronze Stallion: "Shimoni" by Angela Wamai (Kenya)

Best Screenplay: "Le bleu du caftan" by Mariam Touzani (Morocco)

Best Cinematography: "Mami Wata" by Fiery Obasi (Nigeria)

Best Sound: "Ashkal" by Youssef Chebbi (Tunisia)

Best Music: "Our Lady of Chinese Shop" by Ery Claver (Angola)

Best Production Design: "Mami Wata" by Fiery Obasi (Nigeria)

Best Editing: "Abu Saddam" by Nadine Khan (Egypt)

Best Actress Award: "All the actresses in Sous les figues" by Erige Sehiri

Best Actor Award: "All the actors in Sous les figues" by Erige Sehiri.

 

Short fiction film:

Golden Foal: "Will my parents come to see me" by Mo Harawe (Somalia)

Silver Foal: "A Doll" by Andriaminosoa Hary Joel Rakotovelo (Madagascar)

Bronze Foal: "Tsutsue" by Amartei Armar (Ghana)

Special mention: "L'envoyée de Dieu" by Amina A. Mamani (Niger)

Special mention: "Mere terre" by Kantarama Gahigiri (Rwanda).

Etalon d'Or for documentary film: "Omi Nobu/L'homme nouveau" by Carlos Yuri Ceuninck (Cape Verde)
